Rather than taking their kids to school and looking into New York Electricity Rates like most mature men do, a subset of My Little Pony fans has emerged from this group. Bronies, as they like to be known, are the newest My Little Pony fans to make waves and here are some interesting facts:
Contrary to popular belief, there’s nothing sexual about the Bronies’ love for their My Little Ponies toys.
A network of Brony sites have sprung up on the web and some exist only to post pictures from favorite My Little Pony episodes.
The Bronies actually organized a 2012 Brony conference at the Pennsylvania Hotel where hundreds of fans ranging in age from late teens to full adult attended.
Bronies say the reason they like the show so much is that it ‘breeds friendship and happiness,’ two virtues that are hard to find on modern TV.
While a disproportionate number of Bronies are homosexual there are no undertones addressed in the show.

With their unique colors and charming themes, the My Little Pony collection dominated toy shop shelves and children’s playrooms from 1983-1992. It was even possible to collect entire families of the pony figurines, in an effort to have a complete set.
